both xback and chilli red are great if they are high grade but you can never go on pics you would have to see the fish in the flesh as people add silly light to make the fish look 100000000000000000% better

a good xback or chilli red would look very nice with out all the silly lighting which give the impresion the fish is much more colorful than it realy is

How much trouble could you get in if you had one of those in the US
One LFS that was busted by Dept. Of Fish and Game was given a $1200.00 ticket and probation, for selling stingrays, Piranhas, and asian aros. There is also a pending court date that I am not sure is for, but it is some kind of sentencing.

Also, most of the sting operation is targeting the suppliers or vendors that has mass quantity of the fish. I've not seen or heard an individual getting in trouble for it...there is always a first.:(

I don't know if I really want an aro. Too much cash, and if it dies, I would be very overly depressed. I already had three die on me from years past. I haven't bought one for about 15 years. I also don't want to get ripped off. I was just talking to someone over the phone and he said his so called RTG is not RTG, but a green aro. But he paid the value of an RTG for it. It is now 12 inches, and he wanted to sell it for the price of an RTG, not gonna happen.

agree. the best time an aro looks best is out of water under sunlight.

the pictures you've posted are quite true to their breed. :)

but still....you need to view them personally as pictures can only give you indications but not the truth. :)

good luck :)

Thanks! I needed a clear verification of the photos. I am aware that in every fish sold, seeing it in person matters the most.
