i found garf.com when searching on mfk for posts that deal with how to build an acrylic aquarium. i was wondering if anyone who has built an acrylic tank could take a look at it for me and let me know if the directions it gives for building an aquarium sounds like something that would work.

go to the link ill provide later in this post, it should take you to a page that asks you to put in the dimensions of the planned tank and the building material. type in 14" for height, 12" for width, and 12" for length. select "acrylic" as the building material and then click "OK". it should bring up a complete list of materials and instructions. let me know what you guys think :) (and no the dimensions are not a mistake, it is supposed to be a tall-cube tank) thanks in advance.

good for small stuff but will not let yah do tanks larger than what can be purchased at a lfs. so i give it 3 out of 5 stars

Very well put together site, but the glueing method described is unreliable at best. If you are interested in building a tank with clear, solid seams that will not deteriorate, please look into the "pin" method of joining acrylic - it produces far more consistent results than the simple clamp and squirt method.
