Are these altums?

I found these at the LFS and told me they are altums. But am not sure and the bars seems missing.

can any one help to ID

Bump in the nose. I hope the stripe thing is a matter of age. I have a couple that are about a year old and the stripes are very pronounced. Especially when pissed.

These don’t look like true P. Altum to me. All the P. Altum I have seen have had the full baring even when young. Another defining feature of P. Altum is that they have faint bars between the prominent 3 and the space between the bars (the silver part of that makes sense) will not be thicker then the bars themselves.

As has been said, yes they posses the Altum shape but don’t look like pure P. Altum

The easiest way you can tell if they are altums or not is the amount of stripes in their tails and fins. Altums will always have between 2-3 bands

Judging from your first photo, I’d say that they are altum
