Do you know what type of tree the petrified wood is. If it's from a hardwood tree for example oak yes safe. The wood on the right looks too fresh imo to be aquarium safe.

I already had petrified wood. But the other rock came with a fish tank I found at the thrift store

I would soak the petrified wood in a bucket of really hot water prior to placing it into your aquarium.
Ya it belongs on top of an egg between two pieces of toasti would not put that piece of bacon into my tank
