It should be very tight to your pump but if its not maybe an adaptor or even zip ties would be a good idea. I went to Home depot and got a fitting so I can add a hose to it of my diameter for my pump. Cost me like 50 cents or something. Its tight will never come off unless I pull on it like mad.
Show us a picture what you're doing. Take the pump and see if there its threaded. If it it get a female adaptor and get an adaptor thats for a hose. If it has no threaded piece just use zip ties. Spending 12 bucks on clamps isn't worth it lol
Jaws hang on to those non-corrosive clamps . They can be used on hoses not having contact with water, I have them on the end of my overflow, and end of trickle tower.
