are these bit marks injury from another fish or these are some disease?

I had some amazon puffers and when I got new Congro spotted puffers, I sold my amazon puffers and only kept Congo spotted puffers.

One of my friends had 3 small size amazons that he was giving away and I took them from him and placed them together with my congo puffers 3 weeks ago, they were doing well until today I started noticing these marks in my two of the amazons. I do not know if these are the bit mark from the congo puffers or whether these are some sort of disease.

I have never seen congo puffers attack or be aggresive toward any fish, I have even small cherry shrimps and also Amano shrimps which roam around without being attached or bothered by the puffers. the only thing that the congo puffers attack and eat is the snails and live worms when I throw them into the tank.

Please see the picture and I would greatly appreciate your insight whether these are injury related mark or whether these are disease mark.

I would find bites like that from my amazons on my amazons. Probably sorting out their hierarchy. I’d find which puffer has a mouth around that size, and that’s probably your culprit.

Yes - I don’t think I have any pictures but they were little yellow rings like that. Seemed consistent with what little images of puffer bites are on the internet.
