Are these CO2 bubbles going to pop?

I just made a batch of yeast and still waiting for it to get fully active.
I squeezed the bottle to make the bubbles come out and I notice that all my tiny bubbles just sit there at the surface of the water and do nothing.
Are these bubbles going to pop or what?
By the looks of it so far, when my yeast does start flowing on its own, I'm thinking that the whole surface of my water is going to be totally covered in bubbles?

They are slowly dissolving now.
But it looks like it leaves a film on the water surface?
I just changed 20% of my water last night, so I wouldn't think my normal water would be creating this oily looking film?

im not sure what you are using to defuse the co2 but i would let those micro bubbles run through a powerhead stream or your outflow and you also need the surface of the water to have movement to remove the oily stuff dont break the water surface but be sure there is movement just under the surface.

I'm using a powerhead to diffuse the bubbles with a faucet screen on the outlet to break up the bubbles even more.

I should probably put my fluval 1 Plus closer to the surface then, the fish food doesn't want to sink the way the surface of the water is now.

I can't get enough water movement with this Fluval 1 Plus to create water movement on the surface.. In water I can only feel water pressure coming out from about 4" from the outlet. If I put the filter close to the surface barley moves the surface, almost not at all..

i have my airline tube from my yeast reactor to a powerhead on the bottom of my tank, the bubbles than slowly rise to the surface.

So do I.

you shouldnt need a huge amount of surface movement just enough so if you were to set a quarter size piece of paper on the surface (in the middle of the tank) it will move.

Good description :) That's about what I got going now.

I'm producing CO2 now and the bubbles seem to be not sitting on the surface for to long like they where before, thanks :)

You should just pick up the one piece for the homemade yeast CO2 that diffuses it much easier and without hassle
