near but far
Every week or two when I clean my filter pads I see a load of these. Smell really fishy and kind of sticky. Fish I'm tank are 30 our so clown loaches, 8 torpedo barbs, 9 sd's, 4 cory catfish, and 3 toxote blythii's. Tank is a 300g temp is kind of high at 85 trying to lower to 82. Water changes twice a week about 40%. Loaches range from 3-9" barbs are 4-5", cories 1-1 1/2", archers 5-6", sd's 5-6"
Any help would be great thanks!

I don't think cories would be breeding at 85 degrees, and besides they stick their eggs to hard surfaces and leaves, not scatter. I guess the barbs or silver dollars scattering their eggs and being sucked into the filter, and the strong fishy smell probably indicates they rotted.
