Are these heat sensory pits or HITH disease?

Any tankmates? It might have scarred itself from hitting anything that is sharp in the tank like decor. Closer pics to justify
 
Here are two more photos. The only holes I see are between his eyes maybe slightly below. In the picture it looks like he has more hole on top of his head, those aren't holes just spots(Camera sucks). The holes look almost like nostrils? but they aren't nostrils because I can see the nostrils below them(not on the camera though).

I don't see anything on that little guy that I would be worried about. As long as he isn't always stressed, WC and/or water quality is kept up as well as varied diet, he should be fine. Even if there are some small blemishes on him, he's got tons to grow and will most likely recover fine. Yes, fish do have nostrils and sensory holes.
 
Looks ok to me. The one pic looks like he might have scraped his sensory pits.

All cichlids have a single nostril on each side of the head.
