Are these normal colors for a Juvi Green Severum?

These are my first Severums so I'm still new to them. I'm wondering if the bright orange is a spawning pattern, about 2 weeks ago all four Severums became bright orange. No pairing has occurred so I might be wrong. The male is just shy of 5" and the females are 3.5 - 4.5".

I think so - yours have a lot nicer color than some, but I have definitely seen others like this. I have a Severum sp. "Iniridae" that looks a lot like yours but even brighter.

Ok, so they are probably not spawning colors, they just appear to be better than average for their coloration. Most pics only show the adults as having nice colors.

Good looking sevs at that size for sure. It may be they are just all getting their adult coloration around the same time.

I have four and the two smaller females are also very orange underneath. The rest of their bodies are the standard black bar stripes. The largest female looks remarkably like this male minus the squiggles on her face. I'm hoping those two eventually pair off.
