Are these parasites?

These showed up in the filter on my convict tank. If they are parasites how do I get rid of them.

What are detritus worms? They are moving.

Ok. Just a type of worm. Seen when there’s an over abundance of leftover food etc. It was introduced to ur tank some way. Just keep cleaning more frequently and remove any dead plants or food. Should go away and harmless.

it looks like a some sort of nymph larva - eats bio/bacterial films & shouldn't be problematic, maybe a filtration positive just maybe kind'a gross to look at. They'll live & mature & parents will fly away... possibly to lay again.

I edited your photo to try and get get a closer look.

It looks to me like they have legs near the head, although its very hard to see.
I'd feed them to the fish, if they are.
It looks like they may be caddisfly larvae, or something similar
