Are these peacocks male or female?

I got these peacock cichlids a week or 2 ago and I’m not sure if they are male or female, the white one is about an inch and a half and the grey one is about 2 inches, they grey one also seems more dominant.

What species are they? They might be too young to sex. Males and females look alike until they are old enough for the males to color.

I’m not sure, I got them as assorted peacocks

More relevant to determining gender is what size are they? At this point the top photo looks very much female, bottom photo possibly male, could go either way if it's as small as it looks.

The grey one is 2 inches, and the white one is 1 and a half

Top photo probably female with that rounded dorsal. Bottom photo could be male, considering the sharper looking dorsal edge-- and to a lesser degree the hints of color in the pelvic and anal fins, that part can depend on species. Both still on the small side to be 100%.
