Are these possible in 12 mm glass ?

hey guys, my brother and I recently finished our 8x2x2 240 Gal tank. It was made in regular 12mm glass with ample bracing or supports. And its working fine.

Now, we still have space in our fish for a 3 foot wide tank. Please give ur views if any of the following has been done or is possible in 12mm glass (ofcourse with proper bracing / supports) :

i think you'd be pushing it at 2.5' high at 12mm glass mate.

I built a tank recently with 12mm glass. It's an 8 foot long tank, and the actual inside dimensions are 93x35x35. I used 2x4s braced to the hilt on the front. With a long straight edge there is no bowing at all and it's very sturdy.

1/2 inch glass is pretty strong.

I kinda agree that 2.5 feet high may be too much for 12mm glass. I am thinking a 7x3x2 maybe possible. what say ?

12mm TEMPERED would be the hot ticket

tempered costs almost as much as 19mm. not too much difference.
