Can anyone tell me if these are snakeheads? I'm told that they are but the barbel on the face are throwing me right off as I haven't seen a snakehead with them but I'm not an expert. Much appreciated ahead of time to anyone who replies. Not me who's taken the pics unfortunately so I can't try for any other shots.

Thank you very much everyone, I definitely had my doubts as we. Just wanted to make sure I didn't miss out on snakeheads if I was wrong. The barbel had me thinking catfish as well.

And thanks for the welcome everyone, I plan to hopefully post more soon. In the process of getting my new tank setup.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to start a thread on subject, also navigate the forum there is tons of info from experienced members. BTW if you're not aware Snakehead's are illegal in the US.

It's a bullhead catfish. Be careful with bring unidentified fish home if you don't know what it is. Thankfully it's not a snakehead which is illegal for you to keep in United States and can get you in jail.

^^Yes and forget about snakeheads, get yourself a bowfin.

I second that, in fact, I was half tempted to get a bowfin myself, and I am allowed (and own) snakeheads. ;)
