could be, a little small to tell yet. I'd post them in a couple months.
Thank you I’ve been hearing there’s a lot of Texas blue cichlids in the water and I caught about 11 of them in a net they are aggressive they are always fighting with eachother

I am nearly totally certain those aren't texas cichlids or carpintis. If you got from store id make a complete guess they are convict/cuban mix...but since you caught them wilf they could be any domestic/wild cross. Please post in future, as my curiosity has peeked

If caught in la pretty good chance, as far as I know there are Texas cichlid and tilapia there...

I just dont see it. I've been wrong and realize you all could be right. I've raised countless texas, currently have and always do. They are a 99cent fish I've loved for decades and i never seen that shape mouth or body or base color, etc. I have seen many texas dempsey hybrid which does have some resemblance of yours so maybe dempsey mix? Weren't texas concidered perch few decades ago? Lets go outside the box and say dempsey hybrid with perch and i assume i change my mind again when you post larger fish pics
