Are these the same species?

Since Potamotrygon Orbignyi and Potamotrygon retuculata are the same species, are these rays the same, or is one of them mis-identified?

No, Orbs get much larger than retics.

Orbignyi and Retics are not the same species. There is a lot of debate on what an actual orbignyi is. Retics can be distinguished from other rays by body shape, tail, and markings. The first ray is a Retic and the second is actually a castexi variant which is clearly mis ID'd.

Completely different species. Like fishdog said, the "tigrnus orbignyi" is mis-id, but since its from TFD, its not much of a surprise.

Thanks. I was confused because in the ray profile sticky, it said that reticulated and orbygni were the same. Looking for a ray that stays around 14" and thought the second one was more attractive then the first I linked. Thanks for clearing that up.

The second one is gonna get big, atleast 24 inch or more. If you want the 14" range then retic, true histrix, most marble motoros

Marble motoros stay smaller then regular ones? I have never heard that. That's awesome!
