are these two shrimps the same kind? I have them in separate tanks, can I put them together? I was told that both of them are predator shrimps, I placed each of them in a small tank with some small moving fishes, the fishes are alive and these shrimps have not killed any of them.

I assume both of them are same kind, but not sure. do you know if these are the same kind?

Look like the same type of shrimp, couldn’t tell you the species though.

As I said in your other thread, your shrimp are in the genus Macrobrachium (family Palaemonidae). I asked but there was no response as to where are they supposed to hail from. There are many, many species in NAmerica (southern US and Mexico), central, and South America, as well as in Asia. Very difficult to tell you what species, although I believe both are same species, either a young one and a more mature, or even male and a female. For now they are fine, but at molting, most likely the larger one will dine on the other regardless of species. Some of you fish may be at risk as well, as I indicated before.
