Are they always shy?

My Ornate hides most of time. I love the bigs you guys have posted with them swimming around. I have mine with 2 big Oscars, but I hope when it gets bigger it will be out more.

When young they tend to be very nocturnal however with some size 12+ inches they tend to be out more-Anne

how long have you had it in your tank/pond? just give it a month or two to get settled in and cozy.

she, (I say because the anal fin is narrow) has been with me a couple of months.
