ive heard from several sources that asian arowanas are illegal in the united states. aside from that i never see them on special order lists for my LFS. but i dont see jardinis either but thier legal. i was told their illegal because thier border-line endangered in the wild. this seems like a crappy excuse because thier mostly bred in ponds, like most other FW aquarium fish, so that doesnt sound like it would put to much pressure on wild ones

It is a crappy excuse, and no one wants wild asian aros anyway, but they are still illegal. :[

yes they are illegal... don't forget about leichardtis(the other aussie aro) you can get some from rich (infinite aquatics)
