Are Thorichthys aureum kinda hard to find?

I havent seen these in an LFS but I dont know much about them. Are Thorichthys aureum hard to find? How much do they usually run for pricewise?
 
i never see them at my LFS. where i'm from, it's rare. there are in the same family as Meeki's.
 
A LFS had 2 a couple of months ago for $25 each. They are really nice looking fish. The 2 they had looked like firemouths with a lot more color. They also seemed to be very aggressive toward the other fish in the tank and absolutly hated each other. The owner had to seperate them the day they came in or one was going to be dead. That's the only time I have seen them in person. I think RAPPS has some right now that he has labled as mextico blue's. Not sure if they are the same fish or not but they look identical to me from his picture.

They are NOT the same fish, if they was they would be labled Thorichthys.Aureus.

In the UK they arnt too rare, quite easy to find.
 
Damn, I wanna get one. Theres probably a better chance for me to find it online. I got 2 LFS I go to. One doesnt have that great of a selection, and the other gets good stuff, but its located farther away. The good thing about the further LFS is they are willing to get you certain fish, as long as they feel it would be worthwhile for them to stock it.


So you guys say around $25 is a normal decent price for one of these?
 
I kept one about four years ago, but i've never seen another one at the local fish stores around me.
 
I bought mine as an "Aureum", but I'm not sure if there is a common name.
