Hello Jakob,

the prices of bichirs differ from country to country due to the trade ways and aquaristic interest.
I have only one opportunity to see those prices you are speaking of: Those prices here in Germany. In Karlsruhe you have to pay for an ornate (10cm/4 inches) 50 Euro. In the south of Germany it is hard to get laps at all - i've never seen one in a pet-shop.
To get a lap i have to order - i'm getting special prices, but normally one have to pay 70 Euro (plus 30 Euro for sending)! In this case i would say: Cool price!
If i would be you ... i would buy a lap!
