I just lost my Snake head. I swear he had not even a 1/2 of his body girth size of a hole next to the filter. When you guys say tight lid I am assuming sealed? I am in awe I should take a pic of the hole this thing jumped out of

One of those things i'm afraid.
I had a group of six bleheri's in a 55gal waited months for a pair to form.
once I got a pair i gave the others away, and have been waiting for the breeding to commence.
Yesterday, what I thought was the male jumped the tank (through a tiny gap near the filter inlet pipe) while I was at a funeral.

I came home, opened my front door to find a dusty, fluffy dead looking SH on my doorstep.

Put him back in the tank seems to fine, just a little shaken up. must have walked at least 10 metres to my front door from the tank!

I did put him back in but he was stiff and crunchy so I am sure he is doen for. Just so amazed at the size he got out of.

Hi,sorry for both of you,channas need little spaces to escape,bigger channas are able to create their own space to escape!
