I have a couple of widebars courtesy of our (former) local widebar hoarder. I've had them for about 4 months.

Anyways I've noticed that they are aggressive right after feeding time. I feed twice a day and they are always aggressive towards each other after each feeding. They are the biggest fish in the tank and once in a while they bother the other fish.

Anyone has experienced the same?

Input on what may have caused it?

yes mine smash into each other after they eat,it makes me so mad.

That's exactly what my widebars do. I stop it by tapping into the glass or manually separating them by putting my hand in the tank. Yes, they do let me touch them.

Mine get so fat and there bellys get so big that they just sit in one spot for a few hours.

I feed untill they can hardly fit anymore food in their mouths. Then they just all just go and find a place to chill out by themselves, no agression at all.

They get carry over for food competing... Just feed until they're dropped :D

That sounds like my old 3-4" Chinese Perches.
They looked pregnant and kept to themself trying to balance themself on the floor:ROFL:

that does not sound very natural to feed the fish until stuffed,Won't that shorten the fishes life?

Not at all. Fishes in the wild gorge when they find food. When you feed them like that it gives them more protein and vitamins to grow faster. Thats why its called "power feeding".
