I'm a member as well as a reginaol representative for SC and I am a board member.
For all of you guys that enjoy natives, this is a wondeful organization to be a part of. The quarterly newsletter alone is well worth the $20 a year. It is professionally done and in my opinion is the nicest of any of the national aquarium clubs' publications. It is filled with info from various perspectives, including academic, professional and hobbyist.
In addition to the publication, you also get hooked up with tons of others just like yourself across the country. Often times, there will be someone very near you that you just never knew existed. Additional funds help provide for various grants. There is an education and a research grant presented every year(this year we gave several). We also provide funding for other activites or interests if we believe that it is a worth y cause. All in all, if you are into natives, this group is a must.
