Are zip ties harmfull to fish ?

Was just wondering if any of you know if plastic zip ties are harmfull to fish..

I use them to hold plastic plants on my PVC return tube with no probs. Have for years.

zip ties do have metal in them..
and it would be harmful if they were to bite eat it.so my guess is yes in both ways

You're thinking of twist ties, not zip ties. Zip ties are all plastic.

I'd be concerned about the end where the extra gets cut off. I use them all the time on my cars and I've scratched myself a lotby the stuf that gets left. Not detrimental to me, but to a fish it could damage it.

u can always file off the sharp ends using a nail filer. plastic zip ties are absolutely fine and does no harm to the fish or water

i always heated the cut off end with a lighter to round it off
