I picked one up over the weekend at about 9" he is a real stuner but has tan coloered eyes. Most of the pics i have seen of others have blue.

So for you V. Argentea keepers do all of yours have blue eyes ???

These two pics are of the same fish. So don't worry ;)

hell no you can't find a blue eyed pleco for any thing.... when i was a kid they were about 5 bucks now if you can find one they want an arm and a leg for it.....

what did you do to get the eye color to change ???

Can't remember exactly but I think it involved nice music, candle lights, etc etc..

j/k :D It's probably a mood thing. Not too uncommon for cichlids to change the color of their iris, especially when they are in breeding dress.

thanks.... guess i have never really noticed any of my fish changing iris color. i this guy will never have the pleasure of breeding dress. As he is the loan wolf king of the 220 with a bunch of HRPs and other smaller fish.

My Argentea's eyes change from orange to blue from time to time. Typically when they're blue it means he's pretty content.
