I got a tank with these 2 guys (Macu at 8", Argentea at 4-6") with an L200 (only comes out when lights are off, does a great job for the algae) Are these guys alright in here? The argentea is literally the only thing I have kept with the macu for this long that he hasn't killed (RIP Breidohri)

Yep. It's fine......until it's not. :) I'd say, the Blackbelt is at risk one day. If the Argentea catches up to him in size, things will change. Argentea are just nasty. But very calm and peaceful until they decide to go off. Very quick and violent stuff.

Never see mine flaring up and showing off. Just ignoring everything, then all of a sudden, they strike. No warning, always when the victim doesn't expect it, always quick and overwhelming. Never seen a fish turn around and try to mount a defense. They always just run away and shake it off.

They are perfectly at home

ragin cajun is right. The Argentea will become psycho with size. I've seen many horror stories with them. Once they reach 10" plus, they go rogue. A fellow keeper had one completely take over a 300g tank.

I had a 10 incher in my 300g and he got nasty, they are bully and act very similar to buttikoferi in my experience.
If yours are opposite sex you might be in luck, they might pair up.

Maybe yes, maybe no.

Full grown Argentea have a reputation for being aggressive, but blackbelts are no pushovers either. So, it could work out well, or it can one day all go south quickly. Have a heavy duty divider ready to go...and be prepared to separate/rehome one of them

Ja, I was just about to say Blackbelts are martial arts masters!!! No but seriously, a 15 inch fish with an attitude ....blackbelts are beasts too.
