Managed to kill all my angels and cories, left my loaches alone...doing great and totally worth an impromtu 6 hour drive and a pic of a herp picked up on the same trip. Vieja is still kind shy so I only got one decent pic

It will take him a month or 2 to warm up to you, But after that he will be beggin your for some eats. Thats how most of my Vieja/Paratheraps have been. Shy, and then far from shy.
My Argentea was a killer as well. He was all business and would even tolerate a gravel vac in his space. He was one of the meanest fish I've dealt with.

Very nice, natural looking tank man. Snake looks excellent as well.

He's in the computer room and until recently (trouble with my IP) the room hadn't got much foot traffic and he got skittish again.

Great pick up. My Argentea gets along with most of his tankmates. He gets into it with the Fenestratus and the Vieja hybrid but he's ok with the others.

Sweet Argentea! How do you keep you plants alive? Looks like water sprites? what are you using for lighting?

jungle vals, water wisteria, small ocelot swords and some dwarf nymphea. Shop light with 2 6500k bulbs

Nice pickup, hopefully as it matures you well get endless hours of enjoyment from him/her. Under the right setup they seem to develop a great personality.
