Argentea question

He is doing great and looks like he is having a little growth spurt and getting a little wider. I originally got the tiger babrs to help spread his aggression from the other grow outs and ended up keeping them because he left them alone if I removed them would that cause him to become solitary and not be as ourgoing ?

Also had a question about sexing. I over fed the other day accidently (was trying to get the cat to eat) and the shaft (I dont know what its called) protruded and it looked pointy like an upside down triangle is that male

Well, there's just no way to know unless you try it. However, it is a very young fish, so without your tiget barbs acting as dither and stimulating his instinctive territorial behavior it may likely go into hiding mode from larger creatures...you. The TBs may actually be giving the argentea a sense of security in that tank.

Since you have plenty of space at this point, why get rid of the TBs right now?
 
I guess they annoy me lol but I guess your right. Just wanted to lessen bioload if I try and grow out some more args then I will get rid of them. Any idea about the sexing question ?

From your description likely a male, the female has more of a larger around straight tube.

All of a sudden he doesnt like nls.... should I go through the whole starving thing or give him the omega one kelp pellets as a staple ?

Just continue to feed it to him, he will come around. The other fish will just have a bit more food until he gets that this is all he is getting.
