ARGUEMENT ABOUT CATFISH ACTUAL ADULT SIZE

I own a sun catfish also known as the eclipse catfish. I read info all over the internet even on here about the max size. Anyone wanna set it straight cuz idk who to believe...

the largest I have ever seen is about 12 inches.

but that means nothing. most sources I have seen say more like 18", which I don't doubt..

my ex had a big one (8") that used to eat everything in her tank..but it was a cool fish.

i got two at about an inch and a half twoish months ago. they are about 4 inches now. they eat everything. i give them rosies every once in a while but usually, just flake food.

The one ive had for a few months is about 3 inches and i bought another today so he has a friend and hes about 2 1/2 inches any guesses on how long it will be b4 they r 8 inches

Got mine at 2" two years ago. They are now 7" and 6" male and female. Amazing catfish.

In my experiance, they grow at a moderate speed... about 1 inch every 2 months...
