hey guys, could you share the longest time you kept armatus and your setup for it. and does anyone know of any old armatus still kicking?

I think it's more depend on the keepers and tank size, diet and water condition. For me, they last around 18~24 months (2 different fish at 2 different time) and it was ate/act fine in the morning and died in the afternoon all of sudden.
*Tank size 72x24x24 and my Army around 16~18 inches, diet mainly on market shrimp and large lake smelt, tankmate is a RTC similar size.

Just had my second one die this last month. I had him for a year and he got spooked hit head on drift wood in my 450 gal tank. My first army lasted about same amount of time and he just died suddenly both were about 12" super fattys

Both of mine are little over 2 years and appx 16". Had them since 2.5 - 3 inches.
Still going strong......

My first one died at 22" inches prob about 3 years old. My 2 current ones are 18" inches and about 2 years old

Cool shares guys.. Sorry bout the ones you lost and gluck on keeping your current ones.. I think i'll try one myself, my 7x30" is finally free

I think mine are from the same batch as Trev and Shadow's. I've already lost the first of my trio.

How big of tanks do you guys have that are planning on trios? They sure do make tanks look small when they get big.
