does anybody here have their armatus (from this years batch or from rich this year) on non-live foods already?

please! :cry:how did you do it? any tank mates to teach it? what exactly did you do?

any advice from pros?? thanks!

Mine, not yet. Haven't tried yet, might give it a try when they reach 20cm.

there's a very good thread topic on this here on MFK. basically you starve them. at which size one would start the regiment, i can't remember, but thinking best to do it when the fish is at a stable size.

I first go tmine off live when he was around 6" and fat. I starved him and had to play for hours on end to get a strike within the first 2 sec of the piece hitting the water. I would wait until he has some size and you have some time. Just my opinion.

sounds about right experiment with different non live foods.

ok so at a stable size and fattened. so 6" is stable?

Read the care guide.

I don't knbow if I would say 6 is the magic number. I just kind of waited until the fish showed more "adult" characteristics, and established in the tank.

I have arm. and all i did was put a silver side on fishing line he loved that dont tie the silver side on just make it so once the fish has the silver side you can pull the line away! it takes time
