Here's a couple of interesting shots of my armatus. Note the bright white tooth that is just coming in. It looks like a white stripe running from the lower front lip towards the throat.
He knocked out his original fang sometime earlier today. These fish carry an extra set sort of like sharks have an extra set of teeth. When one of the fangs gets knocked out the replacement pops up sort of like a switch blade and replaces it within just a few hours. The tooth is just starting to pop up and that's what you can see. I'll try and take some more pics over the course of the next few hours and see if I can catch it in different positions as it settles into place.
