Armatus got big, eating well, well trained.
BATF full recovery after Gar attack, I'm doing all sorts of whacky stuff with his diet. Tail grew back red, he got a little meat on him, but his attitude changed alot he's very feisty now and I have him trained pretty well.
Tat making progress after the attack, but very slowly, a strange guy, good attitude, untrainable, but on a schedule at least. Pretty much minds his own business.

Here's some to compare them to the size of each other and the tank and some crappier pics that were cool but shotty.

the atf isnt a brevis. it should be a forskalli. i might be wrong double check.

I see what you mean, his characteristics changed alot. To me he looks FATF too, but this ATF was caught in the White Nile around Juba. The distro I bought him from is a cichlid dealer. That's what I'm going off. That's the opposite side of Africa from where you would catch vittatus or forskhali.

It would be a little cleaner but I have to have a place for the pleco and some Irwinis I have to hide. (thus the junk on the bottom)

Thanks for the comments.

wait a second... i thought FATF and VATF look more or less alike and distinguished by collection point. where as BATF looks like the fish posted here.

fish are looking good btw

i think thats a brevis as well.
forskalii do have a slightly stouter snout than vittatus if i remember right, but not like brevis.
i like the clean setup.
let us know how it goes with the armatus in there!
