If they are close to the same size (at least now) is this a bad combo? Anybody have any luck with it. I have a armatus that is about 8.5-9" and might try to pick up a tat that is about 8".

Will the armatus thrash him?

wont last. arm + tat = dead tat:(
I agree especially if you already have the Armatus in the tank.Mine grew to about that size and took out a seven inch tat and scomb.I thought that I had more time before he morphed into Jason Vorhees.

X3.... Not worth it.

What is the Tat takes first blood and stabs the eye of the Armatus... now you have a one-eyed Armatus and the cheapest Armatus in anyones tank... just to try to mix a High dollar and a low dollar fish:grinno:... not worth it to me.

Atleast try to mix the Armatus with an expensive fish... you will get people saying not too but its the thrill of 2 high dollar fish together:naughty:... Armatus and GATF:drool::drool::drool:... and successful... now that a a rare combo

= dead TAT or at least 2 scarred up fish. i might try it in a very large tank with many many dither fish. Problem is the tat is a schooling fish and the armatus is a loner. So when the tat tries to school up it gets killed. If i was going to try it. It would have to be 5-7 tats 8'' plus in length and the one armatus in a 5-700g tank. With the dithers of course. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------So just buy the tat and ship it to me cause mine needs more buddies. ----------wheres the tat at? anywhere with in a few hours of louisville KY?

Slight derail but I'm sure keepinfish won't mind...not really worth starting a new thread...

I have a 9in scomb and am getting (3) 5in tats. Do you all foresee a problem if they are in the same tank? Should I grow the Tats out a little more?

its hit or miss. there is deff a good possibility for alot of fighting. the bigger the tank, the better luck u will have.

My Scomb is in the 320 with my larger rays (3) but there is tons of room...
