Guys,

I need your help. My armatus has ich. What can I do to treat it? Will adding salt and increasing the temp do the trick? If so, how much salt per gallon and what temp.

Thanks!

You don't have lotsa time with Payara and infections. Non-iodized salt @ 1 tablespooon per 5 gal. and temps @ 83 might work if not I've used Mardel cletted cooper to cure ich with Payara - other than that your pretty much at the mercy of fate.

What worked for me is adding 2 teapsoons (not Table spoons) per gallon and raising the temp to 86 degrees for 11 days. The ich will get worse before it gets better but it will get better.

I did 50% water changes in between too. Just remember to add the salt back for water changes.

Do what has been said above, and take out tankmates, leave the lights off and make it as stress free as I can.

Tankmates can worsen the situation.

good luck
