IT appears my armatus has an internal parasite ---

looks like a pimple -- prob. 3mm in diameter

hard to get pics he does not come out -- will try to get batter pics

Agreed...prazipro is a good med for this prob with payara. I've used it with great results.

has anything developed from this pimple like thing? Did you notice if a hairlike worm came out of it? I had it happen on my redtail.

never saw a worm---

it looks deflated and just a small blemish is behind.. almost looks like after a zit is popped...

looks much better after 4 days on the Prazipro...

will t/o this sunday - and put up new pics...

Glad to hear it's clearing up. My redtail came in with a pimple like thing and then a type of worm thing was attached there and then 2 more. I manually removed the worm like things which had quite a good bite on the fish. I used Prazipro at the same time and all problems went away. Be really careful with using meds on these fish. Good luck with the beast.
