i know Fatf's and armatus can cohab, however there both 5'' and I wanted to mix them now, i have some red hook dithers and a galaxy pleco, and a geo abalius. will my armatus outgrow and eat my Fatf because he would have to grow to 10'' to do that right? also i was going to put them in there 300 gal tank when i buy it toward's christmas

armatus grow a lot faster than atf do at that size. i think the safest is to mix these kinds of fish after the 1ft mark (with the atf being larger) because then growth rate is stable. everyone including myself keeps refering to the river monster show where a slightly smaller armatus was pulled out of a slightly larger one. but I haven't read about any tank kept armatus swallowing an atf of similar size.

^^i agree^^

a atf and armatus can work but not for long....

there is only 1 tank that i know of that was totally successful, and its like 1500 gal

its a waste of time trying in my book.

To cohab even for a while that atf would have to be twice the size it is now. Even at 10 inches mine is still pretty sketchy. But the Armatus a 6" doesn't move at all when I put my hands in the tank or turn the lights on in the room or any of that. They are in the same tank together with a tat, and that Armatus is growing really fast. I do not think it will last long.

you want another one,i had discounted the price lower now:popcorn:

i would keep the armatus not the atf

i think u could pull off the armatus in a 300 gal longer. the armatus will grow faster but the atf will start bashing into the walls:irked:

I agree, ATF want to swim. They are built for speed, armatus will do better in that size and they grow alot faster which is rewarding.

ATF grows an inch or so a year. It's been a long and boring process for my brevis, and he sat so long in a big tank alone, it was just nose thumbing. Luckily, I had so many other tanks to keep me busy.

I don't think I could handle 3 man, but I will sure keep the word out for you to sell it.

I am looking for a vittatus if anybody has one, around 10", which will complete my searches.
