i got two tats for 130 bucks each but they swim straight almost and there tails are clear yellowish color going to black but they have the shape and black eyes of a tat i know a hundred percent they arent scombs and they and my pbass are the first to attack feeders (for some reason my yellow tailed cuda has no interest in little feeders just large silversides and massivore pellets)but is this tat or armatus behavier they look to me like tats except for the tail color

You can't go by how they swim - my Scomb swims straight as an arrow, it's the angle of the head in relation to a straight body - scombs heads are more tilted upward then the rest. As for juvi Tats and Aramatus I think the size of the eyes in relation to the head is more telling - Tats have larger eyes, as the fish gets older the red fins are the give away however depending on size and age the red coloration may or may not be fully developed.

Post some decent pix, and we'll help you to ID them

I had a Tat that acted like an Armatus but never was, To properly ID this fish we must have pics since this is one of the most controversial fish to ID in the hobby.

ill try to get pics but there def not scombs they have a huge black slash behind there gills and there tails are starting to straighten flat at the back they have upturned heads but def not scombs they are also already strikeing nonlive food
