They are growing fast they are a good 15" inches now. They are getting very mean they are starting to take out the sds and you can see in the one pic how tore up the bala is. The one army eats anything that hits the water but the smaller one will only eat feeders still

They look good Trev. Is it me or does it seem virtually everyone that has purchased armatus in the last year or two is having good luck with them? (knock on wood) I'm not seeing all the sudden death stories that were common in the past.

Yup it seems they are all doing good so far. Maybe these last few batches imported healthyier? Maybe we are maintaining our tanks better?

I have noticed though that my bigger one is getting fatter and his color is getting lighter since he has been eating pollock, shrimp, and Talapia... Kinda scares me but keepinfishs big one is doing good on talapia so keeping my fingers crossed

Looking awesome man! How are they getting along with each other?

x2 Seem that way to me too.

They fight a little but nothing serious yet...

I also have not moved them from the tank i have them in, havent changed tankmates very much, and only have like 3 rays in with them so the tank is not over crowded...

That looks like a large bala, hopefully they are resilient. The hooks might be a problem though

It's better that having a non- aggressive Armatus. Mine dosent pick on anyone and has gotten the snot kicked out of him. Looks good tho, looks clean!
