Okay so my Aro (silver) and PBass (kelberi) have been fighting a lot these days. I’ve kept them in a 4 feet tank. The bass is around 8-9inch and the aro is around 14-15 inch. Earlier the peacock used to attack the aro a lot and the aro used to not do anything, this was around a few months back when the aro was 9-10 inch but not it’s the opposite the aro continuously tries to attack the bass and the bass in self defence attacks the aro back. I feed them once a day but I feed them a lot, I give them a mixed diet everyday. I also change 50% water once a week and 20% every 3 days. There are few rocks and driftwood in the tank as well. The other fish in the tank are 3 bichirs (gray, albino and ornate)9BBEB7E4-346A-4666-80A2-19B451E532DB.jpeg

You will likely wind up with some severly injured fish or some really ripped up fins,at best if you do not temove one of them.Seems that there is not enough space in that tank for the both of them to get along as they grow and put on more size.

Cute kel. For one thing the tank is way too small. Feeding has nothing to do with it. Much bigger tank and maybe another pbass. That arow is probably feeling squeezed.

I'm not able to answer your question unfortunately, but I do have one of my own to ask you if you don't mind. What size were the aro and pbass when they were first put together? I have 2x kelberi (2") and a silver aro (5") coming tomorrow. I just picked up the stuff to make a divider, but wondering if i'll even need it

I had everything planned out. I was supposed to buy a 6 feet tank next month but because of the rapid spread of virus here in India it’s difficult to get the things required and also the prices have hiked crazy and messed my budget up. I’ll be moving them to a bigger tank asap.

Thanks man. Yes, I know the tank is too small but unfortunately I can’t do anything about it right now, really guilty about it though. I had put another peacock few months ago but my kel has attitude, he has been attacking everyone since the day I’ve got him but he’s become a lot calmer now but I guess that’s because the aro doesn’t take his **** anymore lol

what the others have said... bigger tank or rehome the arow

Also guys, most of the attacking happens during feeding but I don’t think that’s the cause I feed them literally till they’re full

.....careful with the feeding amounts too unless you have a tremendous filtration system.
