My Aro chowed down a moth like insect that who knows how got in the tank. Anyone know if that is going to hurt him or be poisonous? Stupid pulled a great headbang but I missed it, heard it all the way outside and proudly own 2 fresh scales.......:yuck: :screwy: :barf:

It should be ok:) keep us updated

Wild aros spend much of their lives as insectivores. The upturned angle of the mouth is the primary indication of their main method of feeding. Large adults will still eat insects at or just above the surface (reason for a good cover) and go after swimming mammals, amphibians, and birds.

It will be fine.

My aro will eat anything that lands on his surface. He basically survives off insects.

:D:D

I know of an old arowana that ate mice as a treat. No problems at all.

yeah, mine eats anything from beetles to birds and everything in between

Ive fed mine almost anything you can think of; mice, fish, frogs, lizards, birds, large insects, tadpoles, and once a rubber worm used for fishing, but that was an accident lol. I think a moth will be fine!

it'll be ok
