behind my iMac.... Southampton UK.
no i don't mean sick fish.... ya'll no exactly what i mean, the uncontrollable urge, want, even need for the arowana that we all prize so dearly... Ok basically i ordered my black today! and i cant wait! hoping he will arrive for the weekend! and of course u will all no how it goes and pics asap... i also made my self a promise that i wont buy another fish until i have the money for a RTG. unless i find a pair of greens for the same money, but either way asians WILL be next!

plans for a huge aro com... but we will have to see how compatible they all prove... but if it did happen, i would be looking at three asians, three american and a jar in a tank... thats seven aro, so i'm thinking huge for the tank but how huge? would a 8x4x4 give them enough room? if not how a bout 8'sq 4' deep? if not please suggest a good size, i'm half thinking bigger myself.. want this to work with the jar....

10x4x3

for your suggested 7 seven aro's 8'x4' may work but would be the minimum i would consider. i'd say do mabey 10 aro's and do a 12x4x4

take the Jar out of the equation....:)

thanks guys... will definitely put some deep thought into this project... was thinking massive dinning table acrillic aro com, but have since gone well off that idea... hmm...

And yeap i no th risks of trying to com the jar, just he is well docile, land i want to try.. i keep a very close eye on tanks. and i will be working from home for the future so i will always be about.

looking forward to seeing pics of this project... good luck!!!

How big is your Jar now?
As soon as they hit the 10" mark they seem to change.
Kind of like teenagers.

i house 4 good size aros in a 8x2.5x2.5 and they all look comfortable right now.

i'd say no jar

and 8x4x4 should work for like 6 aros

the jar is currently only 3.5" and yea i no they do have a tendancy toswitch up but there have been successful coms before and there will be more in the future just a case of trying each individual fish and seeing what happens... like i say thou i do have the time to keep a very close eye on my tanks and space to split the jar of if needs be!
