Aro feeding habits

So recently my aro has started getting drop eye and im worried because it seems like he's not eating like he was normally. he was always the first one up for any food put into the tank but now he seems not to care for anything he'll grab pellets but nothing else should I worried or just give him time and c what happens?

he should be fine, as long as he is eating. My silvers all got DE to varying degrees, the ones with slight DE still were able to eat shrimp before it hit the sand but the one with severe DE could only eat it off the sand.

Ok were any of them able to eat off the top or just off the bottom?
