Back in action!
So my little chilli red had gotten pretty fussy on food the last couple of months and his intake had dropped considerably. He is in a 6 foot 125. Up until the other day, he was sharing his tank with 3 small tem bass. The bass ate just fine but were always being bullied by the chilli.

I moved the bass and put my new female marble moto ray in with him as she was getting bitten pretty bad by the male.

Now my chilli eats everything I throw in the tank. He's eating superworms and crickets again as well as earthworms meant for the ray.

WTF is with aros, lol.....

thats why aros are unique fish :D

aros are very very weird with eating habits. sometimes all it takes is a week of "starvation" to get them back on track.

I wonder if they have issues with intestinal blockage or something like that? Or if we just over rate their appetites.....

My Silver Arow who is 7-8 years old ... 33 inches .. just came off a 6 week fast.. and the first few days when he finally decided to eat.. he still ate very little... now it has been about a week.. and he is the most aggressive acting i have ever seen... he practically jumps out of the tank for food and acts hungary no matter how much i feed him.. his personality has completely changed... so you just never know with arows.. they are moody...
