What do you do if your aro doesn't eat??

I didn't see mine eating for some time now

More info like water parameters, type of aro, tank size, diet etc. would help us give ya better opinions.

It is not unusual for aros to go on a fasting period. It can be a natural process. This could also be a sign of sickness etc. Basically to better analyze the situation we need more info. :)

my jar did that when i just brought it into the tank, it stayed on the botm and rarely ate anything for almost 2 month, but now it's fine. i also heard that garlic extract will help

depends...

if u want him to accept a certain kind of food, ill say keep starving him until he learn to take the food.

but if hes just not eating his regular meal, just let him be... aros do fast sometimes.

BUT... an aro staying on the bottom myt be a sign that something is wrong... try meds for internal parasites.

Is there anything new in the environment? Try to set your temp around 84 F, add a bit of salt, and don't forget to remove food if it refuses to eat. Please let us know how it's doing.
Danger signs: losing color, turning white, floating instead of swimming, listing.
Does it have a good bubble source? mine loved bubbles. How about any tankmates? I agree about the possibility of parasites too. Best of luck.

How big is it?

Never mind just saw.....hmmmm......how long as it not been eating? I actually had to treat my tank for internal parasites once and that did the trick for me. I tried everything else and nothing, I thought I was going to have a dead fish soon....but treating the tank did the trick. Funny thing was, I NEVER feed my little dude live foods and was wondering where he could have gotten an internal parasite from.

Don't stress. Give it time. Probably one of those stupid fasting phases....( supposing everything else is allright, such as water params, temp, stress factors, etc )...
