Hey guys, saw something that has me down right confused. I have a silver aro that seemes to be regrowing scales. i know this is probably a normal maintance process, but just tonight i saw a patch the size of my index finger (~3" long that is covering two scales that seem to be regrowing and are lacluster. The is no redness and the fish seems comfortable/ not stressed. I would get a picture but he seems to be relaxing now the lights are off. He had two other spots on the same side at the begining of the dorsal fin and the base of the anal fine, but only were small 1/2" scales. he did suffer a pretty good scrape about two months ago, give or take, from a rock...my aro thinks hes a submarine haha. any ideas guys. im having trouble saying disease or natural process.

scale fall out and scales grown back with arowana. Not sure if this is what you are describing. Picture may help.

Thats kind of what i am thinking. it seems pretty natural, only the two-three scales affected, with replacements 50% or more grown in by the time i notice. No imflammation or redness at or near the scales. i just didnt knwo if anyone had seen this in thier aros before. i tend to watch my fish closely, especially my twin hybrids. that way i can give some input as to what is happening and how/why it is happening.
