hey guys i have a 7-8 inch jar
and i was plannin on building a pond
my question is would it be a good idea if i put him in there
i was thinking roughly a 400 gal pond with plants and a shaded area

arowana love jumping, so you'll need to make high walls or something.
Other than that, I think your jar should be fine in a pond.

thinking about makin at least a foot high wall around most of the perimeter of the pond
and a "floating" gazebo towards a corner of the pond
for some shade and a place to hide

arows in a pond.
its good because itll have alot more space.
but theyre a jumper. so you might want to put up something so it cant jump out
like cover it with plexy glass and drill some holes or somethin

well even though aros are jumping fish they are less likley to jump in a pond so i think 1' would be fine

I wouldn't worry about birds if you're building your pond outside. No bird is going to eat a big arowana, the arowana might try to eat it. Hmmm, free food.

well i live in hawaii nd the birds ive seen around my gf's house isnt that big so i wouldnt think they would be a problem
but i was wondering if i made a pond about 4ft deep nd did a 600 gallon pond instead
would multiple aros be set in there for life with no aggression
i was thinkin 3-4 maybe
