I'm suspecting a swim bladder disease. With some variations of these disease, the fish will have normal appetite and be appearing healthy but will gradually waster away due to decreased mobility. The fish will be able to swim and propell itself (but will wobble and either drag tail or move head down depending on the fish sp.) but will look strained.

You may be able to treat it if acted on early. I lost my 12" Temensis from a swim bladder disease--after feeding a frozen shrimp that was left uneaten and kept in the fridgerator (not the freezer) which probably becamed infested with microbes.

Do some reading over the web over the cause and treatment of this disease. I hope it'll make it.
