Tank size will be about 13000liters i'm not sure what it is in gallons but i think its about 3500gallons.

The aro's im thinking about getiing is 3-4" Is there anyway i could predict dropeye, or anything else i should be weary about. Is it better to start with just one. and get another one after awhile? The price i've got was for three but they're cool by themself to.

/Mike

long story short, i was going to get anouther silver, and put it in with the silver i have now... guy at lfs said that they wont get along unless u raise them together

So if I want more than one, I should get them all at the same time?

assuming you have a few to choose from, one thing you might want to watch is the barbels. Make sure they are uniform and to your likeing. Btw barbels are thier little wiskers on their chin. But more importantly I'd watch a tank of several arowanas for at least 30 min before I'd choose. I'd watch how active they are. I'd look for charictoristics in the fishs face that I prefered over others. Maybe the rainbow coloring of their scales. Also (assuming your in a busy fish store) maybe how skidish (spelling) they are. But I don't know if I'd reject one on that alone. All arowanas can tend to be skidish. They are jumpers so make sure wherever you put them there's no place for them to jump that they won't arive back in the water:).

i see u have such a big tank. y dont u try getting 7 or 9? the chances on getting along on this number is high.

OK, is there a bigger chance of them getting along in a bigger group than a smaller? It would be a very cool tank.
There is also the cash issue...
